Before Submission
Before submitting to PJIM&L, please determine whether the manuscript fits within the scope, you can also consult the contents of the recent issue. Work that has already been reported in a published paper or is described in a paper sent or accepted elsewhere for publication must not be submitted. Write your papers in the style recommended below and use appropriate references where necessary.
Change in authorship
Authors are advised to consider carefully their names' spellings and sequences before submitting their manuscripts. Any change (addition, deletion, and change in order) can only be accepted before the final decision of acceptance and only if approved by the editorial team.
Open access policy
PJIML follows Gold Open Access model. Articles are freely available online and can be downloaded from the journal's website free of cost.
Language
PJIM&L expects authors to write their papers in the correct English language (American or British, but not a mixture of these) without any grammatical or spelling errors.
Processing and Publication Charges
There are no submission charges. However, the author(s) will have to pay US $20 (foreign authors) or PK Rs. 2000/- (Pakistani authors) for processing if the article qualifies for the review after the initial editorial review. After the completion of double blind-review, if the article gets accepted for publishing, the author(s) will have to pay US $80 (in case of foreign authors) or PK Rs. 8000/- (Pakistani authors) for professional editing and formatting.
Paper submission
Manuscripts, prepared in .doc or docx format using Microsoft Word, must be submitted online by registering/logging into the journals' submission management system available on http://journals.pu.edu.pk/journals/index.php/pjiml/login and following steps. Make sure to upload final version of your manuscript completely. For any technical support, please email to the Chief Editor at pjiml.im@pu.edu.pk. The article length should range from 5000-7000 words; however, exceptions may be considered.
Submission
Please submit your manuscript via our OJS platform available on https://pjiml.pu.edu.pk/jo/pjiml/submissions.
Organization of Manuscripts
The submission file should contain: Title; Abstract (unstructured; 250 words Max.); Keywords (4-6); Introduction/Backgroud of the Study; Literature Review; Research Objectives/Questions/Hypotheses; Research Design/Methodology; Data Analysis & Discussion; Results/Conclusion; and Implications.
Formatting requirements
The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format (DOC or DOCX). The manuscript (paper) file must be without any author identification including file properties. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is double-spaced (exclusive tables); uses a 12-point font of Times New Roman; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
4-6 Keywords, separated with semi colon (;), just after the Abstract Section.
References
Use APA Publication Manual (7th edition) for citing within text and to make a reference list. References must be given at the end of text. Where applicable, author(s) name(s), journal title/book title, chapter title/article title, year of publication, volume number/book chapter and the pagination must be present. Plagiarism
The journal adheres to plagiarism policies of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The plagiarism is checked by Turnitin.
Review Process
After a plagiarism check with Turnitin and a preliminary editorial review, articles are sent to two referees (one national and one international from technically advanced countries) for blind review. The corresponding author is informed about the referees' comments and requested to revise the article accordingly, if necessary. The review process takes two to three months.
Revised Submission
The communication between authors and the PJIM&L Editors will be via the Open Journal System.
Paper Publishing
The PJIM&L is published as an online open-access journal. An article is published on the website of PJIM&L as soon as the review process and formatting are completed. Authors are not provided with any printed copies of the issue or off-prints.
